PITTSBURGH - Randy Pausch, the Carnegie Mellon University computer scientist whose "last lecture" about facing terminal cancer became an Internet sensation and a best-selling book, died Friday. He was 47.

What an amazing life. He was funny. He was smart. He was dying of cancer. He died of cancer. If there was fear in him, he never showed it. His life, his dreams and his death were all intricately connected to the same man, the same person, the same ideal.

R.I.P. If you believe in God, he definitely went to a better place. If you don't, he lived one of the most satisfying and quality-filled life any of us could only hope to live.
