TECHNOLOGY: NASA has identified water in soil sample of Mars

The Phoenix lander has identified water in a soil sample it collected in planet Mars earlier. NASA has extended its mission for another 90 days, which means it could find more soil samples with water. Though no organic material has been found in the analysis of the ice, it'll take another three-to-four weeks before there's any more data to reveal.

This is a story to watch. Who knows, Mars could tell us a lot about our own origins in the cosmos.
